EL DUENDE

Editorial design, branding and events

El Duende is a renowned bimonthly cultural magazine based in Madrid, founded in 1998 and distributed freely across the city with a circulation of 20,000 copies per issue. Known for its distinctive visual identity and constant reinvention, each edition features a unique format and design concept, often developed in collaboration with major sponsors such as Heineken, Ray-Ban, Coca-Cola, PlayStation, and MINI.

Over three years, I was part of the design and creative team, contributing to concept development, art direction, and editorial design across multiple issues. I also collaborated with La Más Chula, the creative agency behind the magazine, designing visual systems for events, conferences, and selected clients.

A highlight of this period was leading the full creative direction and design of a special issue for PlayStation, created to mark the launch of the PlayStation 5. The covers featured on this page include collaborations with invited artists, with my role focused on concept development, layout, and artistic direction.
